Coconut Milk Powder brings convenience to the consumer. It makes getting clean, rich coconut milk fast and easy by simply adding hot water. It is ideal for puddings, desserts, exotic dishes such as curries, and beverages like the popular Piña Colada.
Our Coconut Milk Powder is 65% Coconut Oil (rich in the medium chain fatty acids for which coconut oil is famous). There is a small amount of maltodextrin and a trace of casein; a milk protein used to keep the fat from separating.

This is a great add-in for any smoothie and much more convenient than canned coconut milk. 4 days out of 5 I make this smoothie. No need to add any sweeteners at all.

I use this in so many ways. I make coconut milk pick-me-up from water, coconut milk powder and a little maple syrup or coconut sugar. I cook it up and keep it in a mason jar in the fridge to use for my coffee. YUUmmmmm. I also use the powder in my green smoothies to help keep me full longer.
Why is there casein in this?, 3.13.2010

Why is there casein in this product? Alot of people would want to use this as a dairy substitute and are not able to because of that. Do they not offer a dairy-free coconut milk?
Reply From Wilderness Family Naturals: The casein in this product is currently necessary to hold the coconut oil in the powder and keep it from separating. Even though there are only trace amounts of casein in the powder we realize this causes a problem for some people. Unfortunately, there are no coconut milk powders available from anywhere in the world that do not contain casein.
Wilderness Family Naturals has been working on a certified organic coconut milk powder that does not contain any casein for several years. It is our belief that sometime in the future this product will be available, however, we cannot give you a target date as yet. The R&D has been finished, but there is much more work to be done before we will be able to offer it to our customers.
In place of half-and-half, 1.21.2010

I used coconut milk powder in place of half-and-half for my instant coffee. It's somewhat difficult to mix with hot water without some clumping but if I pre-grind it with instant coffee, I can usually eliminate all but the very small lumps. I consider the small lumps little coconut bombs, so it's all good.
