Wilderness Family Naturals offers a number of ancient, heirloom rice varieties which include Wild Rice (planted by Mother Nature and harvested in the remote lakes of the Canadian Wilderness) and two different types of exotic, heirloom rice of vibrant colors (planted and harvested by hand at small family farms located in the Philippines). None of these varieties of rice are common at an American family's dinner table, but they should be. The large, dark black grains of Canadian Jumbo Wild Rice and the chewy, nutty flavor of Hand Parched Wild Rice are magnificent, striking and as timeless as the secluded lakes where they grow. In addition, the vibrant purple of black "forbidden" rice and rosy pink color of red rice are quite striking on a dinner plate and in dishes. Stop using white and brown rice. Add more color and flavonoids to your diet!
