When you buy herbs by the capsule you are usually paying around $60 a pound for herbs that may be only worth $3-$5 a pound. Store-bought herbal capsules are rarely labeled as wildcrafted or organic! Yet it's so simple to fill capsules!
Herbs must be finely powdered to encapsulate them. It takes approximately one ounce of herb to make 30 capsules. Each "00" capsule contains about 1/2 teaspoon of herb.
