I've read Bruce Fife's book on Coconut oil, but a website I found states that fish oil only should be used to control diabetes. My impression from the book is that coconut oil would be best. What do you think? Maybe a combination can be recommended.

I have been taking coconut oil orally for 4 weeks now. I started off taking 3 Tablespoons a day. My skin and hair never looked better, but I noticed that I seemed to gain a little weight. I'm a size 6 very healthy person and an active runner- never had any weight issues. The only thing that changed in my diet was the addition of the coconut oil. Have you heard of people gaining weight from taking this before? If yes, should I decrease the amount to avoid weight gain? I now started taking 2 teaspoons full a day. Any advice or guidance you can provide would be very much appreciated.

Is it best to refrigerate the coconut oil after it has been opened? Will it be safe left at room temperature?

When I purchased your extra virgin coconut oil the oil was clear and liquid. Then I used it, and did not refrigerate it, and the next day the oil was cloudy and a soft butter consistency. I would like to know if this is normal? And why does this happen?

During this time of year (summer) any packages I receive in the mail sit all day in a parcel box in front of my house til I get home from work. I am concerned about the obvious exposure to heat and what it might do to coconut oil. Can the heat damage them in this way?
