Hawaiian Alaea Salt is a dark red salt that reflects the iron content of the clay where it is harvested. Some red clay is contained in this salt. It is a traditional salt used by the people of the Hawaiian islands and a must have for many Hawaiian dishes. The red color, when sprinkled on dishes as a finishing salt adds great color.
