Real Salt
- Before the earth knew pollution, sea covered what is now North America. This sea contained pure, natural salt, and over many years, the water in the sea evaporated, leaving the salt in undisturbed deposits. At some point during earth's history, a range of volcanoes erupted around this sea bed, sealing the salt with thick volcanic ash and protecting these precious deposits against the pollution.
- Near the small town of Redmond, Utah, approximately 200 miles south of Salt Lake City, this salt is carefully extracted from deep within the earth.
- Now called Real Salt, it is a pure, natural, land salt that contains specks of color which comes from the various mineral crystals it contains.
- Real Salt, because it is a land salt, flows well and can easily be dispensed with a salt shaker. Like Himalayan pink salt, Real Salt has a mild flavor and can easily be substituted for standard grocery store salts.
