Yogurt Culture Starter
Wilderness Family Naturals offers two different types of yogurt starters. The Milk Ferment Yogurt starter produces a mild yogurt that contains a special lactic acid bacteria called Bifidobacterium longum BB536. It's mildness takes into account present-day taste trends and its nutritional, and physiological value is based upon its high percentage of L(+) lactic acid once fermentation is complete. These cultures can also be used with Soy, Almond, Rice and Coconut milk. The other type of yogurt cultures are called Yogurt Natural Ferment and are used for the preparation of Yogurt with a traditional (stronger) yogurt flavor. They are also appropriate for the fermentation of goat's milk, however, do not work well with seed and grain milks.
